■Tomoki Ohno (CARPE DIEM Hiroo)
IBJJF World Championship Bronze Medal
JBJJF Soccer Championship Winner
He started practicing jiu-jitsu at the age of 6. With a variety of techniques that make use of his body's flexibility, he has won numerous titles, including the IBJJF/PAN KIDS CHAMPIONSHIP, JBJJF/ALL JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP, and ASJJF/ASIAN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. Although he placed third at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championships (Mundial) held in May 2023, he is currently regarded as one of the most notable young athletes in the world of jiu-jitsu. He is also in charge of coaching the grappling class at Design Lab. In addition to being highly intelligent, he has received high-level coaching since he was a child, so the quality of the program is consistently evaluated. He is practicing hard with the goal of winning the Adult Black Belt World Championship, which has not yet been achieved by any man.
■ Novelty of the On Series
An increasing number of top Jiu Jitsu practitioners are using their knowledge of wrestling skills, movements and conditioning to improve their competitive Jiu Jitsu and grappling.
Tomoki Ohno is receiving wrestling coaching to strengthen his Jiu-Jitsu skills, and has the same level of skill as top-level Japanese wrestlers of his age. He is the best person to coach wrestling that can be used for Jiu-Jitsu and grappling.
Because the terminology used in wrestling and judo/grappling is different, what makes this video novel is that it is easier to visualize the definitions of terms and positions when coached by a judo practitioner than when coached by a wrestler.
In Vol.1 "Attacks from Gabri", we will provide detailed instruction on how to attack from Gabri, which is a common attack when standing .
■This work
It is broadly divided into the following six parts:
(1) Explanation of Gabri's position (0:00-0:58)
(2) Gabriel after feint (0:58-5:24)
(3) Gabriel during assembly ( 5:24-10:26)
(4) Back take from Gabri (10:26-24:15)
(5) Cross-fix from a lost leg (24:15-29:33)
(6) Takedowns when taken by gaburi (29:33-36:20)
Gabri is an important position in the development of wrestling, and there is a lot of knowledge about the control of the Gabri form, transition to attack, back take, etc. When it is developed in wrestling and jiu-jitsu and grappling that make a position guard, the opponent's reaction is very different.
This video provides a detailed explanation of the development of Jiu Jitsu and grappling action. It is especially recommended for those who are currently using wrestling techniques to connect Jiu Jitsu and grappling.
Take advantage of online coaching from Tomoki Ohno, who competes at a high level in both jiu-jitsu and wrestling, to improve your competitive skills.
